Bagnoli Project

Bagnoli Project
TRANSPORT
The project’s road network is configured as a large ring for vehicular, pedestrian and cycle traffic that surrounds the urban park, giving access to all the new uses, public and private, present in the area.
The area is equipped with a parking system sized according to the seasonally adjusted demand deriving from the new attractors, for which an autonomous quota of parking stalls is envisaged.
Accessibility from the outside to the inside of the area is also guaranteed by a public transport system currently being planned by the Municipality of Naples.
ENERGY AND TLC
The project involves the construction of a primary transformer substation and the power and distribution line infrastructure in the area that will also allow it to serve the surrounding neighbourhoods. It also provides for the construction of a new network of new generation fibre optic telecommunications and the preparation of the connection of all future buildings to it.
At the same time, the installation of public wi-fi hot-spots is planned, available to citizens and tourists, to ensure total coverage of the area.
WATER SERVICES
Considering that the Bagnoli-Coroglio area is an integral part of the Western Naples catchment area, the water network project - which includes interventions inside and outside the site - involved all the competent local Authorities. The project includes interventions on the Sant’Antonio Arena, the Pianura water terminal and the Coroglio emissary with the objective of:
- ensuring the protection and enhancement of the coastal environment with the full recovery of water balneability in the bay
- mitigating hydrogeological risk
- carrying out water sanitation
- guaranteeing the regulation of water and the recycling of the same for irrigation uses and for the service of the area.
