Business Protection Fund (Fondo Salvaguardia Imprese)
WHAT IT IS
The Business Protection Fund acquires minority shareholdings in the risk capital of companies experiencing economic and financial difficulties that propose a restructuring plan to guarantee the continuity of the company and safeguard employment.
The Fund was instituted with art. 43 of Italian Decree-Law no. 34 of 19 May 2020, entitled “Urgent measures concerning health, support to labour and the economy, as well as social policies connected to the COVID-19 epidemiological emergency”, with a budget of € 300 million.
The management of the Fund is entrusted to Invitalia.
