On the occasion of the 4th Italian-Algerian Intergovernmental Forum, which was held in Algiers in July 2022, Invitalia signed a Memorandum of Understanding with its Algerian counterpart ANDI – National Agency for Investment Development of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to define cooperation between the two parties in the field of investment promotion and partnerships, expand economic synergies and determine the conditions for implementing this cooperation.
In particular, the two Agencies will be able to:
- Exchange information on their respective policies, regulations and investment opportunities in order to facilitate the identification of investment projects;
- Accompany and support economic operators from both countries interested in investing, through a full range of professional services, to support them at each stage of the investment process. In particular, the parties could facilitate the identification of potential partners, information on procedures at national level for authorisations and permits, site visits and relational activities;
Collaborate in the identification of new joint investment projects, as carried out by investors in partnership in both countries, and collaborate in the organisation of seminars and site visits in order to promote partnership and investment opportunities in Algeria and Italy. Finally, they will be able to share information on new initiatives that may lead to greater participation of their companies in each other's markets.
