Verano - Tiburtina tramway, Invitalia has published the call to tender for the works worth over € 19.5 million
There is time until 30 October to submit bids
After the tenders for the “Termini-Vaticano-Aurelio” and “Viale Palmiro Togliatti” lines, Invitalia has published the call to tender for the construction of the tramway line connecting Piazzale del Verano and Piazzale Stazione Tiburtina.
The Agency, which operates as the Central Contracting Authority for the Extraordinary Commissioner for the construction of the tramway system and the Metro C of Rome and for the Municipality of Rome, will award a contract worth over € 19.5 million, which provides for both the design and execution of the works.
The intervention aims at strengthening the Capital’s tramway transport system, with a short but fundamental infrastructure for Roman mobility.
The Verano-Tiburtina section, in fact, will serve to connect the current tramway of Piazzale del Verano (through the reserved lane of Via Tiburtina) with the Tiburtina Station, the second most important hub for Roman public transport.
There is time until 30 October 2024 to submit bids.
The work is financed for over € 23 million by the Italian Decree of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport no. 607 of 27 December 2019.
