Smart&Start Italia to support Italian start-ups implementing innovative projects with French companies
The MIMIT decree of 23 January 2025 provides subsidies for the development and market introduction of operational products, solutions or applications

The Italian Decree of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy of 23 January 2025 in implementation of the provisions of the “Treaty between the Italian Republic and the French Republic for Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation”, also referred to as the “Quirinal Treaty”, identifies actions aimed to support the growth and competitiveness, including on European and international markets, of innovative start-ups by favouring bilateral collaborations between projects jointly carried out by French and Italian companies.
The decree defines the modalities for the granting of subsidies under the Smart&Start Italia measure, managed by Invitalia, in favour of Italian companies that carry out joint innovation projects with French companies, aimed at the development and market introduction of products, solutions or operational applications with a higher rate of innovation.
Facilitation applications, accompanied by the business plans and partnership agreement, must be submitted from the date indicated in a forthcoming ministerial circular.
