Diversity & Inclusion: Invitalia awarded by the University of Pavia
The Gender Pay Gap was eliminated in 2024, two years ahead of the Strategic Sustainability Plan
The University of Pavia has awarded Invitalia, first place in the category dedicated to Diversity and Inclusion (D&I), as part of the Sustainability Report Award, which awards recognition to Italian companies based on their sustainability reports.
Now in its sixth edition, the initiative was organised in collaboration with STEAMiamoci, a Confindustria project that for years has been aimed at promoting gender balance and STEAM culture within Italian companies.
The sustainability reports were divided into four categories: very large companies, large companies, companies that submitted the report on a voluntary basis and Diversity & Inclusion.
Invitalia was the winner in the category relating to diversity and inclusion issues.
The Agency is constantly committed to strengthening its sustainability path: in 2023 it adopted a Policy and a Strategic Sustainability Plan 2024-2026 with various targets relating to D&I issues that competed for the award.
These include the elimination of the Gender Pay Gap that Invitalia achieved in 2024, two years ahead of the Strategic Sustainability Plan, cancelling the difference in pay between men and women for the same classification and thus achieving complete pay equalisation.
As far as the gender balance is concerned, 60% of the members of the Agency’s Board of Directors are women. More generally, at Invitalia women represent over 50% of all employees and surpass 40% in managerial positions. In the last two years, the presence of women in management roles has grown by about 60%.
