Grimaldi SpA, a company manufacturing corrugated cardboard and packaging since 1989, also used the facilities provided under Law 181/89, with the aim of expanding the manufacturing site in Capua, near Caserta.
Grimaldi has invested 7.6 million euro (4.9 of which were provided by Invitalia, partly as a non-repayable grant and partly as a subsidised loan) in order to boost employment with 26 new employees.
Invitalia participated in the project acquiring a share of 5.16% of the companys share capital, which is already a subsidiary of the management company Ondulsud Srl (of the Pascolini and Costantini families) and Saica Pack Italia SpA, the Italian branch of the Spanish multinational with the same name, a leader in paper manufacturing and recycling.
Grimaldi SpAs business consists of transforming paper rolls of varying weight and thickness into sheets of corrugated cardboard (40% of which is intended for sale and 60% for processing into packaging). The turnover in 2012 amounted to 18.7 million euro.
