Italy is among the target countries to start technological partnerships and industrial collaboration

The Korean multinational LG focuses on the Italian R&D system

Identify potential way of cooperation between LG CHEM and the Italian R&D system and investigate 6 of the 40 projects previously illustrated to the Korean Group, in occasion of a meeting held on 5 May 2015. This has been the aim of the two days of meetings , 28 and 29 of July, between Invitalia and LG Chem.

LG Chem has been supported by LG Technology Center Europe, while  Invitalia has been offered the support from IMAST and the CNR (The Department of Physical Sciences and Technologies of Matter and the Department of Chemical Sciences and Materials Technology).

During the meetings, which have been  attended by the Korean delegation, led by the President of LG Chem Research Park, Mr. JN Yoo, Mr. YW Kwon (Leader Future R&D) and the Managing Director of LG TCE, it has been decided that next steps will be focused on the definition of the first cooperation agreements.

This activity has been conducted upon a specific request of assistance from LG TCE to the Inward Investment Unit of Invitalia, in relation to the implementation of the strategy of LG to place Italy among the target countries to start technological partnerships and industrial collaboration on technologies of interest for the LG Group.

The first round  has been focused on the main research-related activities of LG CHEM
