Kilometro Rosso : New areas
The Kilometro Rosso
- Science and Technology Park - of Bergamo (Stezzano) has inaugurated two new areas in the presence of Minister of Education Mariastella Gelmini.
The first new facility, the Innovation centre, occupies a surface of 3.000 sq. mt. and it is meant to provide training courses for manager and entrepreneurs.
The second one is the Job centre, a 9.000 sq. mt building on 4 levels aimed at supporting the Technology Park activities.
Over the past few years, several companies have set up their R&D centres inside the Technology Park. Among them,
Brembo SpA
a world leader and acknowledged innovator of the brake disc technology for automotive vehicles, which has invested in new laboratories, designed by the Atelier Jean Nouvel .
The park will continue to welcome a variety of interdisciplinary public and private research initiatives, providing jobs for approximately 3,000 people over the next 5 years.
