Real estate law is governed mainly by the Italian Civil Code, and by special laws for specific issues.
Real estate assets beneficiaries may be either natural persons or legal entities as the result of:
- full ownership or co-ownership
- usufruct, use and house, emphyteusis, surface or easement
- possession
- detention, for example, as a consequence of building lease, leasing or rent.
