Flexibility for employers
Italian labor law has become a significant factor in attracting foreign investors to Italy. Major changes to employment rules have been introduced to increase flexibility:
- New types of contracts have been created to enable companies to cope with special growth trends for limited periods, and to allow to reduce labor costs significantly in periods of reduced output
- A new regime for independent contractors now enables job placements only where necessary.
