Invitalia Business Network

INVITALIA Agenzia nazionale per l'attrazione degli investimenti e lo sviluppo d'impresa S.p.A. (hereinafter "Invitalia") - a special-purpose undertaking established at central government level - has been given the mission, on the basis of a directive of the Ministry of Economic Development (issued on 27 March 2007, in pursuance of article 1, paragraphs 460 and 461, of Law 296/2006) and especially with regard to the Southern regions of the country, to:

  • foster the attraction of high-quality foreign investments, as a contribution to the overall development of the country's economic and production system;
  • develop industrial and entrepreneurial innovation and competetiveness in the production sectors and regional systems;
  • promote the competitiveness and potential for attraction of the regions concerned.

In the framework of the activities implemented to achieve its mission, Invitalia is committed to setting up a network (hereinafter "Invitalia Business Network") of selected private-sector subjects of high standing, with which to collaborate with a view to:

  • providing business excellence services, at competitive rates, to foreign investors, i.e. non-Italian individuals or corporations (hereinafter the "Foreign Investors"), for starting up and developing a business in Italy;
  • providing opportunities to exchange information and know-how;
  • organizing qualified projects targeting the domestic and international business communities;
  • identifying qualified Foreign Investors - on the EU or other markets - desiring to invest in Italy;
  • promoting new approaches aimed at enhancing the attractiveness of the Italian market, such as establishing partnerships between the Foreign Investors and the international network (if any) to which the private-sector subject belongs.


Membership application procedure

To be eligible for membership of the Invitalia Business Network, applicants must be private-sector subjects, nationals of Italy or other EU Member State, belonging to any of the categories listed in the Schedule of Categories, Requirements and Preferred Qualifications, and complying with the minimum requirements set out therein. However, preference will be accorded to applicants holding the preferred qualifications, as specified in the above mentioned Schedule.

Applications for membership of the Invitalia Business Network can be made by filling in all the sections of the Membership Application Form and attaching the required documents, after which the form must be signed by the legal representative and sent by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt to the following address:

Invitalia shall, at its sole discretion, assess compliance with the requirements and possession of the preferred qualifications for membership of the Invitalia Business Network and, within fifteen (15) days from receiving the application, shall send a notice in writing, by registered mail with acknowledgement of receipt, forwarded by e-mail, informing the applicant with respect to the outcome of the application assessment process.

Membership of the Invitalia Business Network is free of charge and shall be effective from receipt of the letter sent by Invitalia informing the applicant of the positive outcome of the assessment process. From this date the provisions set out in the Invitalia Business Network Regulations shall apply.
