Alternative Petroleum Technologies Increases Global Presence by Opening Lab in Italy
Alternative Petroleum Technologies S. A. ("APT") has opened its new analytical and chemical development laboratory with its partner ITI S.r.l. in Genoa, to support its expanding international activity. The purpose of the new laboratory is to formalize work on routine control of emulsion quality, formulation development of new fuel additives, and providing commercial analytical services to customers using fuels and lubricants.
The laboratory is staffed by a highly qualified and experienced multinational staff. It is capable of performing tests and techniques which include viscosity, density, flash point, water content determination, centrifuge stability, microscopy and laser particle size determination. It is planned to extend the testing capability.
The laboratory is covered by ISO 9001 registration and work has started to obtain European analytical approvals.
Alberto Vigliotti, President of ITI states, "APT and ITI consider the laboratory a novel way to differentiate the emulsion technology for the Italian market and begin immediate revenue generation. In fact, discussions for expansion of the laboratory facility are already under way".
